DSE Fair Lyngby 2021 Information
Dear Fair Participant
As you know, we in DSE are facing considerable challenges in our efforts to host our regular events, and we have been working hard on innovative solutions that would allow us to execute the DSE Fair Lyngby 2021 in compliance with local restrictions.
Unfortunately, on Friday 23rd of October, we received a final word from DTU that we will not be permitted to host the DSE Fair in any physical form at DTU in spring 2021. We are quite heartbroken over this decision, as we were hoping to throw an amazing fair in the spring. We have of course considered postponing the fair until fall 2021, but this isn’t a viable solution for us. We know that nobody banked on this happening, and we hope to have your continued support in our work.
With the cancellation determined, we are putting all our efforts into developing an equally amazing online fair during the original Fair Days.
The DSE Fair Lyngby 2020 was our first attempt on this kind of event, and we are well aware that the result wasn’t a satisfying replacement, not for you as companies, nor for the students as guests, but we will grant ourselves a pat on the back for putting it together on such short notice.
This time around, we have the opportunity to start planning with a lot more time to spare, and with the insight gained from the 2020 Fair and our imminent Focus Night 2020 gone online, we feel properly equipped to set up DSE Fair Lyngby 2021 as an online event.
We have done our own brainstorm on what we as students and hosts would love to see in an online job fair, and we invite you to tell us all your thoughts on this type of event. Be it elements, you want us to include, or errors you want to warn us against.
The lack of questionnaire is intentional, as we would much prefer a direct dialogue with all who have any input for us.
Regarding the economical side, we currently do not have an estimate on the cost of the new fair concept, but we will update you as soon as we have something concrete. Inquiries about invoicing, purchasing, etc. should be directed to [email protected] or our bookkeeping at [email protected]
Due to COVID-19 there are still restrictions on our office from DTU meaning that we cannot guarantee being available on our phone. Instead, we encourage you to email us at [email protected] or [email protected], and if a conversation is wanted, we can arrange a time for that. We are still in the starting stages of this process but we strive to produce a fair we can be proud of.
Best regards,
The Fair Committee
